Questions Ohio homeowners ask

How fast can you get someone out to my house in Ohio?

Call us and we will give you a real window rather than a vague promise. No-heat calls in a January freeze and no-cooling calls during a July humidity stretch get moved up, because those are the ones where a house gets unsafe fastest. If we are booked solid in your part of the state, we will say so on the phone instead of leaving you waiting.

My AC runs all day and the upstairs is still hot. What is going on?

That is one of the most common calls we get across Ohio, and it usually comes down to airflow, refrigerant charge, duct losses through a hot attic, or a system that was undersized for the house. Before you call, check that the filter is not clogged and that supply vents upstairs are open. Everything past that needs measurements at the unit, which is what we bring.

Which parts of Ohio do you serve?

We cover homeowners throughout the state, from the lake counties down through the central corridor and into the Ohio River communities. The city pages linked on this page show where we work most often. If you do not see your town, call anyway. We cover a lot of ground between the cities we list and we would rather tell you yes or no directly.

I smell gas near the furnace. What should I do?

Leave the house right away, take everyone with you, and do not flip switches or use anything electrical on your way out. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility's emergency line. Once they have cleared the property, call us and we will come look at the furnace, the gas connections and the venting. The same goes for any carbon monoxide alarm that sounds.

What should I have ready when the technician arrives?

Know where your indoor unit lives, whether that is a basement, a crawlspace, a closet or an attic, and clear a path to it. Have your thermostat accessible and be ready to describe what changed and when, including any noises, smells or breaker trips. If you know the age of the furnace or AC, tell us. It saves diagnostic time and helps us talk honestly about repair versus replacement.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and what the thermostat reads. That short conversation tells us whether you need a visit today or tomorrow morning.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and ducts, and the equipment itself. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping the noise goes away.

  3. Step 3

    You decide before we work

We explain what failed, what the repair involves, and what we would do if it were our own house. Nothing gets replaced until you say go. Then we test the system before leaving.

Why homeowners call us

  • Old houses and new onesWe are used to century-old homes with retrofitted ductwork and 1970s subdivisions with original returns. Tight crawl spaces, low basement headroom and odd attic runs are normal parts of the day for us, not surprises that stall the job.
  • Built for the swingsHumid summers push AC systems hard and January freezes expose weak igniters and cracked flues. We repair for both extremes across the region, so the fix holds when the weather turns instead of failing the first hard week.
  • Air conditioning and heating bothAir conditioner repair in July, heating repair in January, and the IAQ and airflow problems that hide in between. One crew that knows how your cooling and heating share the same blower and the same duct system.
  • Plain talk, no pressureWe tell you when a repair makes sense and when replacement is the honest answer. No scare tactics about your BTU load, no upsell scripts. You get the condition of the system and a clear next step.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
